The Kiss by Gustav Klimt

"The Kiss" is a painting, painted by the Austrian painter-symbolist Gustav Klimt between 1908 and 1909. The square-shaped canvas depicts a pair of a woman and a man in an embrace, clad in tunics, decorated in the geometrical style, characteristic for the Art Nouveau style, popular at the time, as well as with organic forms from earlier trends in arts and crafts.
